AI will never replace real artists. We're looking for five.

We spend the whole day inside Hydra. At some point you start wanting your profile to look like you, not like a generic avatar. We are building that now: a new layer of personalization for player profiles, and the first thing it needs is art made by real people.

So instead of asking a machine, we are calling artists to a top-secret mission.

The mission

We will not tell you everything yet. What we can say:

• It is a small, square piece of art, shown prominently on the player's profile inside the launcher.
• It can move. Animation is welcome, not required.
• Each selected artist creates a collection of 5 pieces about one game. Five artists, twenty-five pieces at launch.
• Any style works. Pixel art, vector, digital painting, 3D, collage. We are not after a single look.

The full technical spec, with resolution, safe area and delivery format, goes by email to whoever is selected. The rest is ████████████.

How it works

1. 01
   Send your portfolio

   One email with a link to your work. A site, Behance, ArtStation, Instagram, a Drive folder. Work you have already made. You do not need to create anything new to apply.

2. 02
   We pick five

   Internal curation by the team, no public vote. We look at the portfolio, not a test. Before confirming, we send you the spec and ask if you are in.

3. 03
   Brief and production

   Each artist gets a game and a brief, so the collections do not overlap. You work with us in a private channel.

4. 04
   Paid commission and credit

   Every delivered piece is paid. We agree on the amount by email with each selected artist before any work starts. Your name appears next to the art inside Hydra, with a link to your portfolio.

Quick questions

Does it have to be pixel art?

No. Any style.

Do I need to make something specific to apply?

No. Send what you already have. If you want to show something small, square or animated you have made before, it helps, but it is not a requirement.

Is there a public vote?

No. The team picks.

Only for artists in Brazil?

No. Anywhere in the world. Write in English or Portuguese.

Until when?

No fixed deadline. Once we have our five, we will update this post. We reply to everyone, selected or not.
